International insolvency law

We also advise our national and foreign clients in international restructuring scenarios or other cross-border issues relating to insolvency law. We support both foreign clients in insolvency cases in Germany and German clients in questions relating to insolvency law abroad.

Our activity as insolvency administrators, insolvency consultants and reorganisation trustees means that we are well acquainted not only with German insolvency law, but also with foreign insolvency regulations. We also boast a comprehensive network of contacts both in Germany and elsewhere.

We advise and represent foreign clients in Germany who are seeking to enforce their claims as creditors, ensure the insolvency-proof continuation of business relations with German companies that are threatened by insolvency or already insolvent, acquire assets from German insolvency proceedings and defend against contest and liability claims brought by German insolvency administrators.

Our clients benefit from our international network, which consists of a large number of contacts in all major jurisdictions. Among other organisations, our lawyers are members of IEIN (Independent European Insolvency Network), INSOL International (where have been long-standing members of the Small Practice Issues Committee) and INSOL Europe, the International Committee of the German Association of Insolvency Administrators (VID) and the ABI (American Bankruptcy Institute).
